"A Long Day"

Here is the third painting in this small series I'm doing of subjects created just from my imagination and no reference material. I am having so much fun with these! Although I don't consider myself to be particularly religious, I like the cross on the wall. It adds weight, compositionally, to that side of the painting, plus emotional weight to this poor tired farmer. Inspired by last weeks marathon of domestic and ranch projects we were trying to get finished before the cold hits.
