I started this painting 5 days ago, threw out the first 4 attempts, then did the portrait on my previous post, and then...well, FINALLY its finished!
Sometimes I want something out a painting thats hard to define. I had originally played it safe and placed this horse sleeping on some straw, like many of my previous snoozing equines. (yawn!) But as you know, sometimes I like to find ways to make a subject more interesting. Again, as in the previous post, below is the oil study I did last summer of this same horse.
