The Montana prairie boasts few trees, but years ago (about 123 to be exact) when the main ranch house was built, as a finishing touch they transplanted two Ponderosa pines from the neighboring hills. These grew to an amazing size and now act as a landmark for this area. This is a partial view of one of these trees from the southern window of my studio.
