Dare I say it? Finished?

12 x 16" oil/canvas panel

Yes, I think so! Yahoo!!
I had such a great time doing this painting. I got it just how I wanted. My only complaint would be that I now wish it were larger, say 24 x 30" or so. The blanket in back became a Tartan (Irish) after I realized I wanted a more symbolic message. I've done some really nice paintings that miss this element. I think its what sets a work apart from the average painting. Anyway, now I am not sure of the title, "Couch Potato". It doesn't seem quite right and I could sure use help. Could everyone please click on the comments link below and give me some ideas? (You can sign in as "anonymous" if you don't have an account.) This painting is for entry into the Oil Painter's of America - Regional Exhibition and I want it to be perfect, so I hope you will all help me!

Hi Deb - And I thought Couch Potatoe was great, the finished product is just superb!!!!! Couch Potatoe doesn't do it justice what so ever. You asked for help with possible names; as I looked at it even before I read your comments, DREAM WEAVER came to my mind, don't know if it makes sense but Bill looks so peaceful that's what I saw. I hope and wish you much success at the OPA's regional exhibition! All the best, Liz (proud owner of two "Bill" paintings!)

    Hi Deb,
I wish you luck with your OPA entry. When I look at it I see a little critter having some very sweet dreams....
    Take care! and keep painting!

Oh Deb, I love that painting!! I wish it was bigger too. Maybe you should do another one - for you.

I don't know about Couch Potato. It doesn't seem special enough?? But I don't have any good ideas -
    maybe Dreams of .....??
    Sweet Dreams is too feminine.

    I love it!

Deb, this painting is wonderful!! I'm at a loss for a title better than "Couch Potato." Sure love the tartan next to him. I hate coming up with titles, so I'm no help. But am so glad you're entering this! Best of luck!
