Farewell to Buddy!

Such sad and tragic news to report...yesterday my beautiful Buddy died as a result of a broken leg.

We believe he was enjoying a romp through the pasture during this recent warm up and hit a patch of ice and fell hard. His knee and leg were shattered and beyond repair. Our vet put him down around 5:00pm.

I have never been so heart broken.

Buddy was the inspiration for several paintings you've seen on this blog these past few years.

Never was there a happier horse.
