The Montana prairie boasts few trees, but years ago (about 123 to be exact) when the main ranch house was built, as a finishing touch they transplanted two Ponderosa pines from the neighboring hills. These grew to an amazing size and now act as a landmark for this area. This is a partial view of one of these trees from the southern window of my studio.

  1. Hi Deb,
I haven't responded to any of the many beautiful images that come from you to me....but that doesn't mean
I am not enjoying every single one of them! You remain one of my very favorite artists!
I have a special love affair with trees, so this one in particular touched me. The colors, especially the reflected blues
on the shadow side of the tree really make your painting "pop".

  2. HI Deb,
You have really captured the personality of this pine, really lovely.
